Founder and Director
Annabel has been navigating the tricky world of HR and employment law since 1980—long before remote work and freelancing became the norm. As a co-founder of Irenicon, she spent over 45 years helping businesses tackle the tough side of HR, all while raising two children and keeping a sense of humor intact.
Her fascination with freelancing, virtual teams and the changing world of work led her to create KoffeeKlatch in 1989—a brand dedicated to helping independent professionals stay legally protected without drowning in jargon. Now KoffeeKlatch Ltd., it continues to bridge the gap between legal rules, real-world expectations, and what actually works.

Writing legal documents that make commercial and emotion sense is a bit of a dark art. We have asked some special experts to form an Editorial Board to help us create the clearest, shortest, most relevant documents we can. These are in addition to the research we do with our customers and the coaches who help them build their businesses.
The extra depth of experience and additional skill sets will help us take the KoffeeKlatch work forwards and help us make each round of legal updates into clearer and more useful documents and support.
