Why are there new Data Privacy Policy requirements in the UK?
We’ve made important updates to your Data Privacy Policy and the Data Privacy Policy mini course that goes with it to help you stay compliant with recent UK data privacy updates, including changes introduced by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA).
These updates are designed for service-based businesses and freelancers who handle personal data — whether you’re working solo or with a team. If you’re outsourcing, onboarding help, or handling sensitive information, these changes help you stay on the right side of the law.
What’s been updated in the Data Privacy Policy mini course?
Our Data Privacy Policy mini course has been refreshed to reflect:
- The practical impact of the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025
- What you now need to do over the summer
- Revised Data Privacy Policy
- Additional Complaints module
- Template Complaints form
These updates were uploaded on 3rd July, and the new policy wording replaces the old one.
How do I get the updated Data Privacy Policy?
If you’re already using one of our Data Privacy Policies and are still within your support period support group — you’ll find full instructions there on how to access your updated downloads, along with details on exactly what has changed.

More updates are on the way as new guidance and regulation are being formulated. We are working hard to get them to you so you can still enjoy summer on the beach, or with the kids, or whatever you were planning to do before all these regulatory changes arrived at the start of the school holidays!
